Rio to the Cape - Ships Log Project
In January 1956, my grandfather, Roland Charles Raymond Brass and his son (my father) Oliver Anthony Brass answered an ad in the local Rio de Janeiro Press for volunteers to assist in a sea voyage from Rio to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. The original crew had abandoned the Captain and the ship for the excitements available in Rio.
This is the Log that my Grandfather kept. It is a work of passion which I cherish to undertake
